Espero que pasara el Dia de Gracias bien! I can´t believe that we are now into the Christmas season! It doesn´t feel like it (especially with nearly 100ºF weather.). Unfortunately, my Thursday festivities were a little different. I did, however, have one person wish me a Happy Thanksgiving. (She is a recently returned missionary that had several companions from the US.) It was probably for the better that I didn´t the usual Thanksgiving Day feast. The entire week I had to fight a stomach that just wouldn´t agree with me for anything. I´ll spare the juicy details, but needless to say a lost a kilo and a half (like 3lbs). But no worries, I´m better now! Finally!
This week was a challenging week, as well. (Due in main part to how I felt...) But, like always, I learned a lot. Thankfully I still have six months to work on my imperfections and weakness.
You asked about Silvio? He´s doing good. Reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Unfortunately, we taught Eternal Families and Temples. Who doesn´t like that topic? Well, for some reason, Silvio wasn´t buying it. He can´t find it in the Bible. He also told us that he feels like we came for a reason. (Yes!) He feels like he needs to work in the Work of the Lord...but in his Church. He still thinks that is more than one Church. We´re working on that.. He goes in for operation, today. He said he´s going to read a lot in his three days of ¨free time¨ after the operation.
Yesterday, was a Holiday. Hence, the lack of an email. The funny thing is that nobody knows what the holiday was. Needless to say, we started the week off really well and we hope to continue that trend.
So our Branch Missionary Leader, Mario Urizar, traveled to Bolivia this week. He was invited to play for a team in their league. It´s just a summer tournament, but it sounds like he´s pretty legit. I want to see him play. (Sorry, random, but I thought it was kind of cool.)
Um... so your package that you sent in September still hasn´t gotten to me. Alma 56:27 comes to mind...
This week, I started reading Jesus the Christ. it´s a perfect lead up to Christmas. I know that He is my Savior and that he was born, lived, and died for me. I know that He lives! Do something Christ-like this week.
I love you all. A lot.
