Mi familia!
This has been a fun week. It's funny how quickly you feel like you are the big man on campus in such a short time. A new district came into our zone yesterday, and it was crazy seeing how shocked they were about being here. It made me wonder what I looked like when I got here last week. I'd like to imagine that I looked like a pro. :)
Things have gotten a lot better (in terms of Alejandro our "investigator") this week. We've actually given semi-structured lessons. With that being said, Elder E and I still have a LONG ways to go with our Spanish. It's awesome how quickly we are learning the language. Mom, I will have you know that I have now passed up your Spanish skills. I can now pray and testify in Spanish. I'm currently working on the First Vision in Spanish, as well.
This week, I was able to experience my first MTC Fireside and Devotional. They were both amazing, and thought provoking. On Sunday, Brother Stephen B. Allen spoke. Naturally, he spoke to us, missionaries, but I feel his lessons can be applied to our normal day lives. He warned us against Weapons of Rebellion, which included: pride, lust, cheating/lying, and murmuring. It is impossible for us to be successful if we have these traits. He also said something that really put things into perspective(for a mission, but life as well) "Missionary Work (life) is hard, but do you think that the Atonement was easy?" Keep that in mind.
Love you all!
Elder McMurray
