Another week has come and gone. If I had a dollar for every time I have been able to say that... (I would have approx. 45-50 bucks..).
It´s hard to believe...11 months has come to pass. Wasn´t it just yesterday that I left the States? I´m just sure it was... Anyways! Life is going well. The weather is starting to become amazing here. I think we are dipping down into the 70s from time to time. People are wearing coats, left and right. It´s almost like they´ve lived in Goya their entire life and have never seen snow. Strange. It also rained. A lot. Our house almost flooded, actually. Our back patio was filled with 4 or 5 inches of water; leaving less than an inch before it would enter into the house. It kept things exciting during our Morning Studies.
The real torture came on Wednesday night. The pitter patter of the rain on our tin roof was rather soothing. We were quite content. ENTER STAGE LEFT: Cut the power. Mosquitoes are not a problem, as long as you have fans going constantly. But when the Power gets cut it is free game. It was easily the worst night of sleep in the entire mission. Every time that I got close to falling asleep and looking past the burning sensation creeping up my legs, a mosquito would fly past my ear. Naturally, I would jerk to get away from the beast. It was like some form of sick torture...
This week was a record for me. We had 33 people in attendance at Church yesterday. In the last 5 months, I´ve never seen more than 31. It was a real treat, I tell ya. We did a Family Home Evening in the house of a member last night. We made it a Restoration Trivia Game. You´ll be sad to know that nobody knew the date of when the Aaronic Priesthood was restored... I don´t know why everyone doesn´t know that one. :) Do you know it?
I love you all lots. If you have questions about the mission, let me know. I need more writing material.
